All new businesses of any type should have some type of grand opening.  For example, if you started your own restaurant, you would have a grand opening.  If you started a dry cleaning  business, you would do the same thing.

In your "offical grand opening" you would tell all of your friends and family about your new business, do some marketing and promotion and have some type of opening ceremony or party.

Our business is no different.
  Instead of just starting a business, you need to do a proper grand opening so you can achieve growth and success much quicker.  

Once you do your grand opening, help your new team members do their grand opening, so they can make some immediate income and see some type of positive results in their business right out of the gate.

Your job is to  simply ask if they are open to learning how to make extra income or save money. 

If they say yes!  Show them a short video or do a Facebook live (see steps below)

If they say No:   No big deal.  Ask for referrals and move on.


The important thing is to do a grand opening because it will have a HUGE impact on your long term success and help people that you love!

STEP #1

  1. ​Grab your cell phone
  2. Tap on Facebook App
  3. Go to your personal page
  4. Tap on post and write a catchy title  (people do read the titles)  

STEP #2

  1. Set camera orientation (landscape or portrait)
  2. Tap on GO LIVE OR LIVE VIDEO


STEP #3
  
  1. Get in position and smile
  2. Start talking! You are LIVE!  
  3. Topics to talk about:  Why you became a benefit consultant, the savings people are getting, share testimonials that are on your site
  4. As you are talking occassionally look at the comment section to see if anyone has questions
  5. At the end you always want to have a call to action.  For example... Hey  thank you so much for watching.  Connect with me if you want information on how I can help you and your family  save thousands of dollars in healthcare. If someone LIKES your Facebook live or makes a comment.  Those are GREAT leads.  Send them a message and say, thank you so much for liking, sharing or commenting...then start a conversation.  Ask questions such as "how's your dental plan?  Are you open to learning how to make extra income at home?.  
  

STEP #4
  
  1. When you are finished click on the FINISH  button
  2. You will see a screen that reads: post your video replay.
  3. You can save, delete or share

ASSIGNMENT:

FACEBOOK TIPS
  
  1. Practice!  Open a Facebook practice page  or a Facebook group and go live on that page.  This will help you get comfortable when you go live on your personal page.
  2. Have a quiet place but if something unexpected happens (like a dog barking or children walking in), address it and laugh. 
  3. When you do a FB live talk like your talking to a good friend. Be you.  
  4. Do not mention company name or the name of the product/services.  Why?  because they can google it and then they won't reach out to YOU.
  5. It's okay to have notes next to you  that you can glance if needed just in case you get distracted. 
  6. Don't ramble.. people don’t have a lot of time so be respectful of their time.
  7. Don’t post your website.  Have them message you or write more information on the comment box. If you give people your website they won’t reach out to you and you can’t start building relationship with them.
  8. Turn off the ringer on your phone because you don’t want to be getting calls while you are doing a FB live.
  9. Engage as much as you can with as many as you can
  10. Talk like you are taking to your mother, brother, sister, friend.  That will be more natural for you and people will connect with you more.
  11. Practice doing several FB live so you can get comfortable doing them.
  12. Make sure your phone is charged up before you start your broadcast
  13. Keep in mind your target audience schedule.  Do they work 8-5? Then do it in the evening.   Test broadcasting at different times.
  14. Do a horizontal shooting.  It gives your audience more of your surroundings.
  15. Look at the dot when you do a FB live. This way you won’t look LIKE your looking down and people can’t see your eyes. You want that eye contact.
  16. Have good lightening.
  17. Have a clean background.  People do look at your background
  18. Have a quiet place but if something unexpected happens, address it and laugh
  19. Have fun and just be YOU!
  
#2.  TRADITIONAL GRAND OPENING

You're grand opening is an exciting time and is when you will officially introduce your business to your friends and family. The goal of your grand opening is to let everyone know that you help people save money with affordable dental/medical plans AND you also help people make money too. It's also about generating interest, leads and business partners.  Remember healthcare is always needed and there will always be people looking for ways to make extra money!


TIPS TO SUCCEED
  • Have your laptop opened to your website.
  • Have a table set up so you can display your flyers/ compensation plan.  
  • Be comfortable with your presentation
  • Be excited about your AmeriPlan business. You have just joined the most amazing company!


PREPARE FOR YOUR GRAND OPENING
Be sure to let your mentor know when your business launch has been scheduled, so they can be on standby for any questions!.

Determine where you want to host your grand opening. It can be at your home, it can be a friend or relative who wants to help you get started.

Hold 3 grand openings, over 2 days, 2 hours each.  For example – Friday 5-7pm, Saturday 11-1pm and 6-8pm. This allows you to catch a variety of times that people might be available, and overcome schedule objections. It is also a “safe” way to introduce the memberships/opportunity, on your very own turf.

​Planning Your Invitations:
  • ​Invite everyone you know.  People that love you will always want to support you and will even send business your way!

Try to use a variety of invitation methods.


Try to avoid the “spray and pray” method of invitations, which is spray it out to everyone, and pray that someone accepts. Because we all receive so many Facebook invitations, most are ignored. Facebook should not be your primary invitation method.

After initial invitations go out, follow-up with everyone you invited!  Follow-up A week in advance and a day before.

Tips When Using Scripts

# 1 Be direct and to the point. Say less to more people. Do not waste people's time. Keep the conversation short and sweet and on point.

# 2 Focus on the curiosity approach. Don't tell your prospect all the details. Focus on speaking to their curiosity and then let the video do the heavy lifting for you.

# 3 Make sure your script aligns with who you are. Whatever script you get, make sure you feel comfortable using it. Make sure it aligns with your personality and values; otherwise it won't work.

# 4 Do not read the script. Practice and memorize your script so you don't have to read it when you are talking with someone. You don't want to sound like an unskilled telemarketer. When you're talking with your prospect, it should sound natural.
